Utilising our expertise within the DevOps, Digital, Data and Cloud market, we engage our network of Associates, some of the brightest minds within industry. We consult, guide and deliver solutions for some of the world’s leading brands within the market. 

Furthermore, we run the widely expanding WeShape event network. This consists of events such as London Tech Leaders - a leading peer-to-peer C-suite event network with quarterly events and weekly digital content. London DevOps is an event network for technology associates with over 9000 members on MeetUp. We also run Oops - a quarterly event for IT incident response, and WeShape Tech Talks. 

The problem you’ll be solving. 

WeShape is building a gig economy of the top 5% of DevOps, Digital, Data and Cloud native specialists within the market. You'll be responsible for sharing our message across the UK by creating content to share across our channels; social media, websites, and newsletters. 

Our aim is that when industry leading companies need to accelerate their technology projects, need specialist expertise, or even think of DevOps, they think of WeShape. We want this to become THE hub for technology leaders, and add value to as many people as possible and reach the widest possible audience.

What you’ll be doing. 

You will be given hands-on marketing experience in a fast-paced start-up environment, with a focus on learning and development. WeShape operates in an exciting, but mostly unrevealed industry that is in the building blocks of all the biggest, best, and most exciting technologies and industries today: including Crypto, Cloud Infrastructure, Diamond Mining, Electric Vehicles, and Sustainable Energy to name a few of our projects. We operate at the forefront of evolving technologies and developments in IT. And, simply put, your job will be to get more eyes looking at our business via digital platforms. 

You will be working under our Marketing Team Lead Alex, who has helped to grow the marketing department from scratch over the past 2.5 years, and understands the sorts of questions you will have. You will have a genuine say in real marketing decisions, we are a company that values feedback from all levels. 

Our priorities for this role: 

  • Managing social media and planning out your week of posting across multiple platforms for WeShape and our event network with the aim of increasing engagement and followers 
  • Managing multiple websites with our web development partners and coming up with new ideas to maximise effectiveness and engagement 
  • Creating content, including graphics, newsletters, blogs, PDFs and videos to be distributed across our social media, websites, ads, and newsletters 
  • Assisting the Marketing Team Lead with building a successful growth strategy 

A typical week could include:

  • Working with multiple stakeholders across the business to develop best in class innovative content 
  • Researching ideas and creating engaging strategies and content for our various platforms 
  • Posting tech blogs on our website and optimising to suit SEO standards, as well as searching the web for new authors and expanding your own network 
  • Building tech newsletters for an expanding audience of 1000+ subscribers 
  • Coming up with new website ideas to present to our web development team 
  • Assisting with the running of and attending various networking events, ranging from C-suite to engineer level

This role is for you if: 

  • You have a passion for content and driving engagement, with a continuous improvement mentality 
  • You have a strong attention to detail when publishing customer facing content 
  • You are highly organised, keen to take on responsibility and up for tackling business challenges 
  • You have a keen eye for design and skills to design graphic and video based content 
  • You’re not receiving the training, investment, and tools you need to make the most of your skills 
  • You have excellent communication skills and are willing to collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders; both external and internal 

Ideally you’ll have: 

  • 2 years content marketing experience 
  • 1 year of graphic design and video editing skills (Photoshop, Canva, Premiere Pro) 
  • An interest in technology and have worked in the B2B space before 
  • Experience copywriting online posts, blogs, and reports 

What the future looks like. 

WeShape have recently moved from to a 50 person office in Aldgate East, with the aim of filling this up within 12 months. We have recently expanded into Europe and further expansion will continue. As the key third hire in the marketing division, you will play a key role in managing our public facing message, with the aim of maximising the number of decision maker eyes on our business.
