Life at WeShape- August

Welcome to WeShape, August. We all hope you’re enjoying the lovely weather and bank holiday weekend, August has really flown by. At WeShape, it was another busy month for us here, with our promotion dinners, events, volunteering days and so much more. We certainly made the most out of the hot weather and the last summer month…

To kick off the month Eden Spelzini celebrated her promotion with dinner with Directors Chris Monticolombi and Jack Moore. They celebrated the special occasion with a lovely dinner in La Bodega Negra. A huge congratulations from us all at WeShape on the promotion Eden!

Lana Williams also got to celebrate her promotion to Senior Client Partnership Manager this month. Lana celebrated with a dinner at Chotto Matte. Huge congratulations to Lana on her promotion, we hope you enjoyed your night with Chris and Jack! 

Recently, some of team WeShape volunteered at Providence Row to help out with their soup kitchen in collaboration with East London Business Alliance. Eden Spelzini, Leah McCarthy and Emily Symonds spent the morning preparing and providing hot food to vulnerable people. As a B Corp UK organisation, we really do value these opportunities to support our community and look forward to more of team WeShape being able to make a positive impact. We'd like to thank all of our associates who attended our quarterly associate catch up. The WeShape leadership team caught our associates up on the latest updates and opportunities. We had lots of fun playing plenty of mini golf, beer pong and darts at BOOM BATTLE BAR. It was an invaluable opportunity for each associate to contribute their voice in person, while our leadership shared updates and presented exciting new opportunities. We look forward to our next quarterly catch up and sharing around our new associate newsletter soon!

On the 17th, we hosted the fifth OOPS - Outage Operations and Incident Response event. This event focused on the relationship and trade-off between authority and ownership. Our expert panellists: Marilyn Kruger, Matt Saunders, Dr Yasmin Khatun and Amit Naker provided interesting insights and discussions within the medical and tech industries. Thank you to our panellists and everyone who attended the event!

Unfortunately our sports day was cancelled due to bad weather but we made up for it by holding a ping pong tournament in our offices. We all competed against each other throughout the day but it was Luke Wilde that came out as champion at the end.

We also celebrated a few birthdays and anniversaries this month. We’d like to say a huge Happy Birthday to Craig Norford, Charlotte Hamilton, Harry Duddridge and Mo Qureshi. We hope you all enjoyed your special day!

Last but not least, we’d like to give a big shoutout to Pat Bate, who celebrated his one-year anniversary with WeShape. Time flies when you're having fun, right? Pat's dedication and hard work have been invaluable to our company's growth, and we're excited to see what the future holds for him.

August was a whirlwind of excitement and growth at WeShape. We're all about nurturing our team, embracing innovation, and having a blast along the way.
