Data Migration to Power BI for Leading Manufacturer

WeShape was engaged by a leading manufacturing customer which heavily relied on data, analytics and data visibility across a group and local level. Our team were engaged in two key areas:

• Data migration of their existing analytics platforms to the Power BI suite
• Improve the efficiency of their internal business processes by integrating technology into all business areas

To ensure the successful delivery of both projects, we undertook two separate work packages, with defined sprint plans, deliverables and expertise. The Data migration required us to deploy an experienced Data Architect to focus on the following areas:

• Technical analysis of the requirements and user stories
• Architectural design of the integrating systems
• Design and delivery of the automated solutions

Following the success of this project, we focused on the internal business processes, leveraging the Power platform suite and deploying two experienced consultants from within the Data team.

This included a discovery phase, with the team in Europe setting up environments and licenses required for application development and production.

This progressed to prototyping and pilot development - designing and developing pilot automation solutions agreed upon based on the initial discovery phase.

For each of these applications, WeShape provided technical support, defect management, portal migration, sales data integrations, project go-live and post-launch support, as well as a continuous focus on product enhancements and improvements.

Their data quality and efficiency improved across the business as a result of the integration with internal applications that were not previously integrated, which helped eliminate manual data input processes.
